You can have the Gift of Eternal Life

You Can Know For Sure You Are On Your Way to Heaven!

Both John the Baptist and Jesus preached repentance. "Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 4:17b Repentance is a change of mind about your way and your sin and a turning to God's way and His salvation. Jesus said,"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

YOU CAN HAVE THE GIFT OF ETERNAL LIFE!

1. You need to realize you are a sinner and in rebellion before Almighty God. "There is none that doeth good, no not one." Romans 3:12b "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23

2. There is a price for sin. "For the wages of sin is death." Romans 6:23a Wages are something that you earn and deserve. As sinners we deserve death and earn a place in hell.

3. Jesus paid the price for sin for you. He died for you so that you do not have to die and go to hell. "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus come into the world to save sinners." I Timothy 1:15 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

4. Salvation and eternal life is a free gift and cannot be earned or worked for. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 "...the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b

5. Because eternal life is a gift it must be received in order to have it. "But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name." John 1:12

The way you receive Him is to pray and ask Him to be merciful to you. The Lord Jesus really does want to forgive you and receive you as His child. Call on His name today. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
